Frequently Asked Questions

What is Spa SHR Technology? The Spa SHR is a state-of-the-art pain free technology that is designed to remove unwanted hair faster and more effective than ever before. The Spa SHR was developed in Israel after years of research and development in the medical community, the Spa SHR is an exceptional innovation and represents a breakthrough in aesthetic technology to provide permanent hair removal without pain. Who is it For? The Spa SHR TM is suitable for Men and Women regardless of age, who wish to remove unwanted hair. The Spa SHR TM removes hair effectively and painlessly on all skin types and hair colour including tanned skin. Results are visible after the first session. How Does it Work? The Spa SHRTM uses photo-selective thermolysis and combines it with its patented IN-Motion technology. The light in certain wave lengths and the heat emitted by Spa SHRTM targets the pigment, the melanin, located in hair follicles. Flashes of light disable the targeted hair follicle, causing the unwanted hair to fall out, and preventing future growth. Which Areas of the Body can be Treated? Most Commonly treated areas include: legs, arms, bikini line, back and stomach. Hair removal is also possible on the face and neck. Is it Suitable for Males? YES! Men comprise a large percentage of our clients. In contrast to other hair removal technologies, the Spa SHRTM uses an IN Motion technology, which is a rolling technique that scans the area, rather than focusing on one hair at a time, thus providing males with a true pain free solution for all areas containing dense hair. Is the Treatment Painful? NO! One of Spa SHR technology biggest advantages in contrast to other technologies available today, is that it is pain free. How is it True Pain Free? There are a few reasons: 1. The Spa SHR uses IN-Motion technology, which is a rolling technique that scans the area and eliminates the common problem of missed or skipped spots during the process. Thus making it a faster, more effective, comprehensive hair removal technology without pain or skin damage. 2. The Spa SHR handpiece is cooled down to an average of -9 °C (-22.77 °F) thus keeping the area cooled while the scanning. 3. In contrast to other technologies that use one pulse per second, the Spa SHR uses an astonishing ten pulses per second. In contrast to the IPL that uses 40 100 J.U.L per pulse, and the Laser that uses 50 70 J.U.L per pulse; the Spa SHR requires only up to 7 J.U.L per pulse but it delivers 10 pulses a second. Spa SHR gradual-heating treatments are virtually pain-free and comfortable. Many even compare the Spa SHR sessions to having a hot-stone massage. How many Treatments are Required? This depends on the area being treated and it can be influenced by hair colour, age and hormones. However, usually 4- 6 treatments are required for long-lasting hair removal. Since hair growth cycles are not synchronized several treatment sessions are needed to also treat dormant follicles, and within a few treatments, the Spa SHR leaves beautifully bare skin. How Long does the Treatment Take? Most areas can be treated in less than an hour, depending on the surface area and hair density being treated. Will the Hair Return? Hair that is treated effectively during your treatment program will not return. It is possible for some individuals to develop some new hair in the treated area after treatment has completed, for the cycle of grown hair How Long until I can be Exposed to the Sun? Within 1 week after treatment. This is In contrast to Laser technologies that recommend 3-6 months waiting before exposure to the sun, and the IPL technology that recommend a minimum of 2 weeks. 80% of customers nearly fall asleep during the treatment of large areas, and are astonished by the painless and effectiveness of the Spa SHR.
